Two long-running programmes carry what is taught in class out into the region: one humanitarian, one environmental. Neither is an after-school club — both sit inside the curriculum itself.
Love Foundation Mexico
Education Through Service
A sustainable movement for peace, empathy and shared progress.
The Love Foundation Mexico is a humanitarian and philanthropic movement made up of students, teachers, coordinators, parents, staff and a network of regional organisations operating along the Mexico–U.S. border. Guided by our core value of active social collaboration, it propels our community toward shared progress by turning classroom knowledge into concrete solutions to pressing social challenges.
Through structured service learning, students from nursery through high school take part directly in hands-on volunteer work, building civic responsibility, empathy and humanitarian awareness.
- Community outreach. Partners directly with regional shelters, orphanages and community groups — including the Senda de Vida shelter, municipal schools and local kindergartens — to host interactive events and social action projects.
- Dedicated regional support. Extends aid, companionship and resources to local charities, including afternoons spent with the residents of Asilo Abuelos Reynosa.
- Annual donation drives. Mobilises the whole school network for winter-coat collections and book drives that establish community libraries.
- The Hambretón Food Drive. Coordinates an annual mobilisation of students, staff and parents to collect non-perishable goods — rice, beans, cooking oil and canned goods — for the Banco de Alimentos de Reynosa, A.C. During the October 2021 campaign, joint community effort delivered a record 11,077.458 kilograms of food to families across the Reynosa region.
Live Green
Cultivating Environmental Leadership
Integrating ecological awareness and global standards into the student experience.
Live Green is The Oxfordian School’s sustainability framework, driving environmental stewardship into the core curriculum rather than running as an isolated extracurricular club. Originally certified as an environmental leader by SEMARNAT, Mexico’s Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, the school is now advancing its integration into Eco-Schools Mexico, a member of the Greening Education Partnership supporting UNESCO’s global standard for green schools.
Led by dedicated campus sustainability leadership, the programme builds ecological awareness from the ground up, teaching students the efficient use of resources and practical environmental responsibility inside the classroom and out in the field.
- Curriculum-linked stewardship. Embeds environmental consciousness into daily lessons from first grade, so sustainability is a natural part of student life.
- Community recyclable networks. Organises regular collection drives for recyclable materials, supported by students, staff, local businesses and the wider community.
- Rural organic gardens. Students design and cultivate organic vegetable gardens in rural public schools, contributing to regional environmental improvement, local biodiversity and community support.
- Strategic campaigns. Engages student cohorts in local sustainability milestones such as the Econciencia framework and active participation in Ecofest.
TEDxThe Oxfordian School
Ideas Worth Spreading, in Our Students’ Own Words
TEDx The Oxfordian School is our independently organised TEDx event, run each year with students at the centre of it. Speakers work for weeks with faculty mentors on structure, evidence and delivery, then take the red circle in front of a live audience.
- Student speakers from across the upper grade levels
- Talks on identity, technology, sustainability and community
- A full student organising team behind the production
- Open to families, collaborators and the wider Reynosa community

None of This Would Be Possible Without You.
As an Oxfordian parent, you have an important role to play. Connect with your campus, ask what you can do to help, and take part in helping us spread our mission to the world. We extend our deepest gratitude to you for being part of our Oxfordian community here in Reynosa, Tamaulipas.
