Grade Levels

Elementary

The Oxfordian Elementary program inspires learners to think critically, ask bold questions and helps them to make connections to real-world issues and events. Through a student driven, globally minded curriculum children build a strong academic foundation while developing intercultural understanding and independent problem solving skills.

Elementary students at The Oxfordian School develop academic rigour alongside interpersonal skills.

Our bilingual curriculum deepens literacy, mathematical reasoning, scientific inquiry, and cultural awareness, equipping students with the knowledge and character to thrive in an interconnected world.

Developmental Needs

What students need at this stage

This level builds comprehensive linguistic skills, from basic phonics to advanced essay writing. Students learn word construction and digraphs while building soft skills like effective communication, decision making, and oral presentation. Writing is heavily emphasized, with lower grades keeping daily journals and sixth graders focusing on formal essays and public speaking.

The elementary program builds student independence and confidence through a supportive academic environment. Targeted tutoring is provided for students needing extra help, ensuring core competencies are met. Reading comprehension is fostered through take home books, while math and literacy are reinforced through purposeful, play based activities that mirror real life scenarios.
