Community Collaboration
The programmes through which Oxfordian students turn what they learn in class into something the community can feel, a library, a movement, and an environmental commitment.

Act Locally, Think Globally and Serve.
We believe that education carries a responsibility to the community beyond the classroom. Through structured civic service initiatives, environmental campaigns, and cross-campus outreach projects, Oxfordian students develop deep empathy, global awareness, and a strong sense of personal agency in shaping a better world.
- Semester-long community impact projects for Secundaria students
- Environmental stewardship and sustainability campus initiatives
- Partnerships with local organizations and civic institutions
- “Building Bridges” cross-campus community dialogue series
- Annual civic leadership symposium and student panel
Love Foundation
The Love Foundation Mexico is a movement for change. Students take part through learning by service, applying what they study in class to real need in Reynosa. Embedding community connection activities into our lesson plans, our aim is to teach students how to navigate difficult circumstances, engage with the challenges, so that they too can feel empowered in their actions toward uplifting their wider community.
Students, teachers, coordinators, parents, staff and a network of partner organisations, work through concrete action towards a society of tolerance, empathy and peace in our community.

Live Green
Live Green is not a club that runs alongside the school day. Ecological awareness and the efficient use of resources are taught inside the curriculum itself, built into the Science and Reading blocks from first grade, and then carried out into the community.
The school was certified as an environmental leader by SEMARNAT, Mexico’s Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, under a national programme that has since been retired. We are now beginning the process to join Eco-Schools Mexico, part of the Greening Education Partnership behind UNESCO’s global standard for green schools.

Community Library
The Oxfordian Community Library is part of the fabric of who we are as a school. We firmly believe in the power of reading and literacy, and in how directly that can influence and change a child’s future. For this reason each campus has a dedicated space where students can borrow books, explore new worlds and develop essential literacy skills.
Our Community Library serves as a dynamic hub for discovery and lifelong learning for our students, families, educators and neighbours. It is a sanctuary designed to nurture literacy, investigation, critical thinking and, above all, a love of reading.
Open to all staff, students and families of The Oxfordian School, with a collection of more than 73,086 physical and digital titles. At Las Quintas the library stays open until 5:00 p.m., so the wider community can use it too. Contact our head librarian for opening hours and borrowing requirements.
Families are part of it too. Every campus hosts reading events such as Muffins with Mom and Donuts with Dad, where parents come in to read with their children. See the reading events.
None of This Would Be Possible Without You.
Every one of these programmes runs on people who decide to take part — by giving, by lending a hand, or simply by turning up. We extend our deepest gratitude to you for being part of our Oxfordian community here in Reynosa, Tamaulipas.
