Oxfordian Life
A Season of Chess
Three elementary students represented the school at the CONADE 2026 chess tournament: Aarón Cruz Vázquez, Natalia Zoé Rodríguez Sandoval and Fátima Lucía Hernández Casanova. Their effort says a good deal about the commitment they bring both inside and outside the classroom.
Closer to home, the second Oxfordian Intercampus chess tournament brought together elementary teams from Campus Las Quintas, Campus Vista Hermosa, Campus Petrolera and Campus Middle Years, who played with strategy, concentration and real sportsmanship.
- First place: Campus Vista Hermosa
- Second place: Campus Middle Years
- Third place: Campus Petrolera
Chess rewards the quiet virtues: sitting still, thinking ahead, and losing without drama. Our thanks to every player who took part, and congratulations to the winning teams.
