A Mural Painted by Our Own Students
Fifteen elementary and middle school students pooled their hands and their ideas alongside Ms. Chacón to bring a mural to life at the school. The unveiling drew directors, families and authorities from Supervisión Escolar Zona No. 11, and it went off beautifully.
Our congratulations to every student who put their patience and their talent into it. Painting together is harder than painting alone: the wall has to hold one idea, and fifteen people have to agree on what it is.
A mural is an unusual school project in that it cannot be taken home. It stays on the wall, where every year group after this one will walk past it. That seems a fair reward for the work.
