Two Oxfordians Are Going to Oxford
The graduating class of Prepa Oxfordian earned the OTCC certification this year, and on the strength of those results the school secured ten scholarship places on the Rising Stars programme at the University of Oxford, in England.
Rising Stars runs annually and admits the students who post the highest scores. Two of ours are going: Carlos Alejandro Padilla Del Angel and Renata González Hernández travel to the United Kingdom in February.
A certification is a number on a page. What it stands for here is several years of doing ordinary work well in a second language, until the language stopped being the obstacle and became the tool. That is the whole point of a bilingual education, and it is rarely visible until a moment like this one.
Congratulations, Carlos and Renata. Go and enjoy it.
