What We Built Over the Summer
While students were on holiday, work carried on. Both projects below are part of the summer maintenance and upgrade plan running across all campuses.
Campus Vista Hermosa: a new water cistern. Construction began on a new high-capacity cistern that will give the campus a reliable, uninterrupted water supply. Anyone who lives in the area knows why this matters. It is not a glamorous project, and for a while the excavation looked convincingly like a swimming pool, but it resolves a genuine and recurring problem.
Campus Petrolera: a new rear drop-off and remodelled restrooms. A new rear drop-off area is being built to speed up the daily run, together with a complete remodel of the restrooms.
We would rather spend a summer on cisterns and drop-off lanes than have families spend the year working around the lack of them. Thank you for your patience while the work was under way.
